Catherine M. Hanacek, 96 of Streetsboro and formerly of Ravenna passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Gardens of the Western Reserve in Streetsboro.  She was born in Watsonville, California on May 23, 1919 to the late Vitt and Louise (Zadjelovich) Lister. Catherine has been a long time member of Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna where she was a member of the Young at Heart Club and the Infant of Prague Guild.  Survivors include her children Nancy (Curt) Coey of Glouster,  Tim (Linda) Hanacek of Sagamore Hills, Linda (Sam Broska) Anderson of Shalersville Twp.,  her grandchildren Amanda, Christina, Nicole, Ashley, Brittany, and Sara and her great-grandchildren Savannah, Henry and Avery.  She is also survived by Brian, Dave, Luke, Andrew, Sam, Abby, Shaylene, Mark, Kozue, Nori, Francois, Anthony, Joseph, Carter, and Aki who Catherine welcomed into the family as her own.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry G. Hanacek on February 4, 2005 and brothers Thomas, Jack and Nicholas.  At her request, cremation has taken place.  A memorial mass of Christian Celebration will be held at 10am Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to UH Portage Medical Center Hospice, 6693 N.
