Charles V. "Charlie" Booth 78 of Ravenna, passed away Monday October 23, 2017 at his residence.  He was born in Ravenna, Ohio on February 5, 1939 to the late Howard Booth and Vera (Pardy) Milbrecht.  Charlie was a life long Ravenna resident who graduated from Ravenna High School in 1957.  He retired from RB&W in Kent where he worked in customer service, was a member of the USGA and Ravenna Moose.  His loves were his golf and his cats, Linus, Birdie, Bogey and Stadler.  He served in the US Army, where he made many lifelong friends that still would get together once a year.  Survivors include his wife Patty (Miller) Booth whom he married May 11, 1991, his step children  Bonnie (Wally) Strong, Steve  Lopez, Michael (Jennifer) Pope, his grandkids, Jason Sabin, Andrew Sabin, Bryant Strong, Christopher Lopez, Madisenne Pope, two great grandkids and brother Ed (Betty) Booth.  He was preceded in death by his father Howard Booth, his mother and step father Vera and Fred Milbrecht, his first wife Jeannette Booth and step daughter Becky Sabin.  Calling hours will be Friday October 27, 2017 from 3-5 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  At Charlie's request cremation will follow the services and private family burial take place.  Condolences and memories of Charlie may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
