Charles "Chuck" Verardi, age  80 of Shalersville, passed away on September 15, 2017 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family. Chuck was born on August 17, 1937 in Fairpoint, OH  to the late Arthur and Theresa Verardi.  Chuck retired from the US postal service after 37 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Ravenna Senior center, and of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mantua. 
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his son Mark Verardi, by 6 brothers, and by 3 sisters.  Chuck is survived by his  wife of 58 years Marcia Verardi, who was the love of his life. He is also survived by his son Greg (Shannon) Milam. His memory is cherished by his grandchildren Devin and Darian Milam,  numerous nieces and nephews,  and by many friends.  Chuck will  always be remembered for being kind, loving, and generous to his family, friends, and his community. Chuck  enjoyed  baking especially his famous German Chocolate Cheesecake,  cooking, gardening, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, September  22, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mantua at  11 AM.
