Dr. Alan J. Tolcin, of Streetsboro died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at age 66. He was born September 19, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Chester and Rita (Piechowski) Tloczynski. Alan was a member of the Streetsboro United Methodist Church and was an Optometrist for 42 years. Survivors include his wife of nearly 45 years Rita (Gifford), daughters Jessica Roth of Streetsboro and Elizabeth Clay and son in-law Jay of Champion, grandchildren Avery, Alohra, Alex and Tori and a brother Thomas Tolcin of Melbourne, FL. Alan loved his family, friends and community.  He will be remembered for his wonderful caring nature and sense of humor.  Memorial calling hours will be from 5:00 PM until time of memorial service at 6:00 PM Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Streetsboro United Methodist Church, 8940 State Route 43, Streetsboro with Reverend Annette Dimond officiating.
