Edgar Maurer Obituary

Edgar William Maurer 95 of Ravenna died Sunday, February 18, 2018. He was born September 23, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edgar W. and Frances R. WeyGandt. Mr. Maurer was a US Marine Corps veteran serving in World War II and the Korean War and worked as a mechanical engineer for Davey Compressor, Davey Tree and Loopco and enjoyed being a tree farmer. Survivors include his children Brad Maurer, Patricia Groves and Richard Maurer, grandchildren Christine Herra and Aaron Maurer and great grandson Chad Groves. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Harriet and son David. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
