Eileen M. Peck (Sturdevant) 89 passed away August 12, 2016 at home.  Mrs. Peck was a resident of Rootstown the majority  of her life.  She was the daughter of the late George H. and Florence M. Sturdevant.  She graduated from Rootstown High School and Bohecker's Business College in Ravenna.  She worked at several businesses during her working career as a legal secretary including Twin Coach, White Rubber, NRM, Lacher Mackey and Renner and Frederick K. Lacher, Patent Attorney for 25 years.  She was a member of the Professional Secretaries Association while she worked.  She was an active member  of the Rootstown Methodist Church for many years and loved to travel and spend time with her family.  Survivors include daughters Barbara (David) Bass of Rootstown, Karen (James) Connelly of PA., grandsons Phillip (Kate)  Peck and Aaron Bass, many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brother Dale (Sandy) Sturdevant of Mansfield.  She was preceded in death by husband Paul, grandson Paul Bass, sisters Gladys Martin, Helen Perrine and Grace Sturdevant.  Calling hours will be from 6-8 Pm Wednesday August 17, 2016 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel  where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday August 18,  2016.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Eileen may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
