Franklin D. Ward, 83, of Streetsboro passed away peacefully Monday March 5, 2018 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. He was born July 31, 1934 in Matwan, WVA to the late Lafe and Elva (Collins) Ward. Mr. Ward has lived in Streetsboro since 1962 and had retired in 1986 from Chrysler Corporation in Twinsburg. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, camping and raising his special chickens. He married the love of his life Elizabeth (Taylor) Ward on Sept. 4, 1954 and was married for 63 years. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his five children David (Carmella) Ward of Mantua, Gary (Cindy) Ward of Ravenna, Elva (Jim) Kubec of Mantua, Robert (Tammy) Ward of Mantua, Cathy Nibling of Streetsboro, 14 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his children Sheila and Ronald Ward, one brother and eight sisters. Calling hours will be from 9:30 AM until time of services at 10:30 AM on Friday March 9, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel with Brother Alvie Ward, Jr. officiating.
