Hallie Rae (Ketzell) Gruver passed away June 8, 2017 after an extended, courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 27, 1964 in Ravenna to Raymond and Wanetta (Lallathin) Ketzell. Hallie loved spending time with her family and friends and had a lifelong love for animals. She spent years riding and showing her Arabian Ibn Gaffon.  After graduating from Ravenna High School in 1982, she worked at a number of area businesses, but her greatest pride was being a stay at home mom. After marrying Lenny Gruver on July 3, 1993, she was blessed to have Colin Aiden and Jordan Rae to whom she was a fantastic mom. Hallie is survived by her husband, children, sister Lorrie (Mark) Willie, mother in law JoAnn Gruver, 4 brothers in law Dean McClosky, Kent Marshall, Steven Gruver and Dave Gruver, 4 sisters in law Pam McClosky, Brenda Marshall, Nicki Gruver and Becky Gruver on Lenny’s side and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and father in law LeRoy J. Gruver.  Calling hours will be at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 5 - 7 PM and on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 2 - 4 PM. Funeral services will be at 10 AM Monday, June 12, 2017 at the funeral home with Reverend JP Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Edinburg Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all the friends, caregivers and family for the time taken and kindness shown during this time.
