Irene (Burden, Rasile) Wymer, 92,  died peacefully, Thursday morning, August 10, 2017, at her home in Ravenna with family at her bedside.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roland “Bud” Wymer, sisters Wilma Castiglione, Lucille Mohr, Genevie Muratore and brother Earl Shoup.  She leaves behind her son Randy Rasile and his wife, Bert, and daughter Lola Plough and her husband, John, and her step-son Larry Wymer of Cincinnati, OH.

Irene is also survived by her much loved grandchildren:  Randy Scott Rasile (Laura), Carl (Stephanie) Rasile,  Benjamin (Merideth) Plough, Joshua Plough, and her only granddaughter, Kimberly Plough.  Irene was especially happy and proud of her 4 great grandchildren: Zachary Rasile, and Christopher, Neve and Milo Plough.  Irene is also survived by her loving sister, Velma Ferguson, of Erie, PA.
Irene was born in Alliance, Ohio to Bessie and Howard Burden on June 13, 1925.
After graduation from Alliance high school, Irene worked as a riveter at Taylor Aircraft in Alliance. Taylor manufactured World War II military war planes.  In this work, she was proud to contribute to the war effort.  
For many years, Irene worked as a waitress at Elite's Restaurant. After leaving Elite's, she ran the kitchen at Ravenna Elks Club for over 25 years with her husband as manager of the Elks.
Irene enjoyed walking, swimming and exercising into her early 90’s.  She loved going to the Kent State Recreation Center 3 to 4 times a week until just the last several months. Recently, she has enjoyed her great grand children in their many activities including going to dance recitals, baseball and soccer games. She will be greatly missed by everyone that loved her.

Calling hours will be Saturday August 12, 2017 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with  Rev. Laurie Metzko officiating.  Burial will follow in  Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna,  Ohio.  The family asks that any memorial donations may be made to  First Christian Church  420 S.
