Janet L. Brode 83 of Ravenna died Tuesday, June 13, 2017. She was born October 2, 1933 in Greensburg, PA to Raymond and Helen (McGough) Newhouse. Janet was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna. Survivors include her husband of 37 years Charles P. "Chuck" Brode, children Brenda (Ralph) Iarussi of Rootstown, Connie (Donald ) Wilborn of LaPine, Oregon, Rob (Sharon) Hladio of Bristolville, Susan Dean of Leavenworth, Kansas, step children Carla Brode, Kerrie Brown and Joseph Brode, 12 granddaughters, 2 great granddaughters, and siblings Rita Tourney, Joan (Chester) Sikon, Barbara (Don) Knieriem and sister in law Irene Newhouse. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Vernetta Ackerman and brother Tom Newhouse. Calling hours will be from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Father David Misbrener will officiate.
