Janet Helena Goray 78 entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, January 8, 2018 at UH Portage Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. She was born September 28, 1939 in Cleveland to Thomas J. and Betty J. (Steffen) Hughes. Janet graduated from Aurora High School and retired from Streetsboro Giant Eagle where she worked in the bakery. She married the love of her life Lawrence Alexander Goray on August 9, 1959. Mrs. Goray enjoyed many crafts, camping, reading and puzzles but especially loved spending time with family and her cats. Loving memories of her will be carried on by her son Andrew (Pamela) Goray of Akron, her daughter Cathleen Goray of Leavittsburg. Also by grandchildren Casey Helmick, Nickolaus Helmick, Lucas Helmick, Madalynn Helmick, Meghan Goray, Joshua Goray, Samantha Easley, 1 great grandchild Alex Easley and siblings Donna Fronek, Ellen Dingus, Bill Hughes and Howard Hughes. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Thomas, her husband Lawrence, son Jeffrey Goray, daughter Christine Easley and grandson William Easley. Memorial calling  hours will be from 9 AM until time of memorial service at 11 AM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Venture Church, 935 Frost Road in Streetsboro with Pastor Chris Kuzma officiating. Private burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
