Jeffery R. Polichena 68 of Ravenna passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 15, 2016. He was born October 30, 1947 in Ravenna to Joseph and Josephine (Favazzo) Polichena. Jeff was a lifelong Ravenna resident and had owned Polichena Motors in Ravenna. He was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the Ohio Horseman's Association and the D.A.V. Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years Mary (Sias), daughters Lissa (Tim) Reedy and Carrie (Brian) Reedy both of Debary, FL, son Joseph J. Polichena of Ravenna, daughter in law Cindy Lukanec of Paris Twp., papa to Ryan, Joe and Jordan Polichena, Jacob, Alyssa, Justin and Braden Reedy, his parents Joseph and Josephine Polichena of Ravenna, sister Jody (John "Mick") Sova of Cortland, niece Erin Bozan, nephew David Sova and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna. Father William Kraynak will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Ravenna. His quick wit and infectious smile will be missed by all who knew him.
