Lt. John P. Faddis 56 of Rootstown, formerly of Ravenna and Streetsboro, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He was born October 9, 1959 in Waynesburg, PA to John S. and Janet (Phillips) Faddis. John retired from the Portage County Sheriff's Office and was a member of the Charity Masonic Lodge in Deerfield and the Scottish Rite. Survivors include his parents of Streetsboro, wife Tina (Masters), daughters Jennifer (John) Wall of Hartville and Allie (Mike) Chilson of Diamond, stepdaughters Heather (Zeljko) Matijakovic of Brimfield and Michelle (John) Bungo of Twinsburg, stepson David Wilson of Ravenna, grandchildren Logan, Zoey, Winter, Kelsie, Noah, Jeremy, Joshua, Caleb and Nathaniel, sister Sharron Weingart of Aurora and nephews DJ and John Weingart. Calling hours will be from 5 - 8 PM Friday, May 6, 2016 with a Masonic Service at 7:45 PM on Friday and from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Pastor Jared Williams and Pastor Philip Raynes will officiate. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Childrens Tumor Foundation at www.ctf.org.
