Pauline "Toots" Lott of Ravenna, 78, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2016, after a courageous fight with a long-term illness. She was born November 12, 1937 in Elberton, Georgia to Isaac and Clara Ann (Fortson) White. She moved to Ohio when she was a teenager and lived the rest of her life there. She was married to Otis Lott for 43 years before he passed away in 2003. Otis lovingly called  her "Toots," which was her adopted name by family and friends. Mrs. Lott worked at the first Head Start in Ravenna, retired as a cafeteria cook for Ravenna City Schools, and loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Winfield Church of God in Christ, where she was active in the Mother's Board, the Winfield Women's Group, the Finance Committee and the Nurses Guild. Survivors include her daughters Marcia Grair of Ravenna, Timi Lott of Columbus and Linda Lott of Ravenna; granddaughters Jacqulynn Locke and Tracine Locke of Columbus, Marchaé Grair of Cleveland and Marcelle Grair of Boston, Massachusetts; great-granddaughters Keiara Foster, Breonna Canty and Keionna Canty; siblings Christine (Roosevelt) Seeden of Ravenna, Barbara (Robert) Shavers of Akron, Carnel White of Akron, Sarah White of St. Petersburg, Florida and Dallas White of Akron; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and great-granddog Bigman. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister Eula Mae Gaston. A Homegoing service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Winfield Church of God in Christ in Ravenna with Pastor Dennis Richey, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna. Pauline leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love and family. As Pauline would say, "To God be all the glory!"
