Robert "Bob" C. Gauss, age 74 of Aurora, OH passed away on October 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on August 18, 1943 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Carl and Arlene (nee Lyons) Gauss. Bob attended both Michigan State University and Loyola University. He worked as a MRI research engineer for Phillips medical many years prior to retirement.  Bob was a licensed amateur radio operator and a member of WRECK, and Chagrin Valley's HAM radio group. Bob enjoyed driving his Miata, and was a member of the Northcoast Miata Club. What he loved most in life was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years. Lacine Gauss (nee Proseus) and by their children; Roderick (Sandra) Gauss, Theodore (Bonita) Gauss, and Lorissa (Alan Osmers) Gauss. His memory is cherished by his grandchildren; Makayla, Josh, Noah, Porter, Zak, Matilda, Laney, Conrad, and by his step-grandchildren; Kurtis, Bethany, and Michelle. A memorial service will be held at Short Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes' Streetsboro Chapel 9781 Page Rd. Streetsboro, OH 44241 on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 2PM. Rev. William Snyder will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 26 Broadway, 14th Floor New York, NY 10004.
