Sierra R. Thornton 15 of Ravenna passed away tragically on Sunday October 6, 2013. She was born November 6, 1997 in Warren, Ohio to Andy Thornton and Wendy (Phillips) Thornton. Sierra is a sophomore at Ravenna High School where she was a member of the year book club and the track team. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Ravenna, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her Uncle Gary Thornton and her great grandparents Bodie and Stella Cale. Survivors include her father Andy Thornton, her mother Wendy Thornton, her sisters Katlyn, Julie, Morgan and Paige. Sierra is also survived by her grandparents Shelly Cale, Robert Thornton, James and Dora Wright , her great grandparents Bob and Norma Keslar and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be Thursday October 10, 2013 from 4-8 PM at the Ravenna High School Gymnasium. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday October 11, 2013 at the Ravenna First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in Windham Cemetery Windham, Ohio. Donations may be made to the Thornton Family Fund care of the First Church of the Nazarene 3284 Brady Lake Rd. Ravenna, Ohio 44266 (Please make checks payable the church) or any Fifth Third Bank.
