Thomas R. Helsel, 52 of Ravenna passed away Friday May 20, 2016 at the University Hospitals of Cleveland.  He was born January 5, 1964 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to the late Emory J. and Virginia M. (Bowers) Helsel.  Tom has lived in Ravenna most of his life, is a member of the Ravenna Moose 1234, and was working as a shipping and receiving clerk for Smithers Laboratory.  Survivors include his wife Charyl L. (Seals) Helsel whom he married May 13, 1992, his children Kathy (Dave) Vorshak of Canton, Barbara (Ken Roosa) Donavan of Rootstown, Jeff (Susan) Helsel of Ravenna, Deidre (Bill) Hager of Atwater, ten grandchildren, and siblings Becky (Bill) Thompson of Akron, John (Patti) Helsel and Rick (Kathy) Helsel both of Florida.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jeff and Joe Helsel.  At his request cremation has taken place, A Celebration of his life will be from 1-4 Pm Saturday May 28, 2016 at the Ravenna Moose Lodge 5727 St Rt 14 Ravenna, Ohio 44266.  Condolences and memories of Thomas may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.
