Valerie L. Miller, age 37, of Lothian, MD, formerly of Ravenna, passed away on January 20, 2017.Valerie was born to Mont W. Miller Jr. and Debra Gooch on March 28, 1979 in Ravenna, OH. Valerie graduated from Ravenna High School, and studied at Fortis College LRC -Cuyahoga Falls where she graduated with an Associate Degree. Valerie worked for the Ravenna School system as a bus driver, until she moved to Maryland where she worked as a bus driver for Reid School Bus. She was also a former Bus Driver for Keller Transportation Inc. Valerie was a volunteer for Calvert County Animal Welfare League, and an active volunteer with Friends Of Felines Humane Center in Calvert County.  She is survived by her son, Gavin Jacob Cale and his father Robert Cale, of Mocksville North Carolina, and by her mother Debra and her Stepfather (Jeff) Wagner of Ravenna, her brother Matthew (Michelle) Miller of Texas, her boyfriend Sean Thompson and her fur baby Aleigh, of Lothian, MD. Valerie was loved deeply by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed by them. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 10AM-12PM at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes’ Streetsboro Chapel. A Memorial service will take place at the conclusion of calling hours.
