Betty V. Frantz, 93 of Ravenna passed away Wednesday June 13, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. Mrs. Frantz was born March 17, 1925 in Josephine, PA to the late William R. and Roxie (Wilson) McMahon. Her love was her family and friends. She was a care giver, a baby sitter. Betty was passionate about crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles and helping others. The simplest of things made her happy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Harold B. Frantz after 55 years of marriage and her son Harold R. Frantz. Survivors include her daughter in law Susan Frantz of Ravenna, her grandchildren Jodi (Russell) Thornton of Garrettsville, Mark (Sharon) Frantz of Ravenna, Todd Frantz of Barberton, her great grandchildren Michael Bonica, Mikayla and Emma Thornton, Braden and Nicole Frantz and her sisters Helen Finnegan of Johnstown, PA and Jean Pavelchick of Josephine, PA. Betty requested no calling hours. Private family services have been held at Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio. The family asks that memorial donations please made to Souther Care Hospice 1871 Bailey Rd. Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.
