Carol A. (Singleton) Danes

Carol A. Danes, 72, of Palmyra went home on Sunday, July 7, 2019 surrounded by her family in her home. She was born December 27, 1946 in Gassaway, WV to Albert and Fannie (Taylor) Singleton. Carol retired from Portage Industries (Happy Day) as a supervisor after nearly 30 years at a job she loved and cherished every day. She spent her entire adult life teaching, spoiling and loving her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grandma's house was a house for spoiling, fun and unconditional love. Her faith in God was strong and never wavered. She left behind a lifetime of memories and lessons for all to cherish. Survivors include her children John (Dreamma) Danes and Michelle (Rick) Laston, grandchildren Heather (Shawn) Harvey, Ashley (Andrew) Young, Ryan (Sarah) Stutzman, Dominic (Kelley) Danes, Jordan (Nick) Danes, Noah Laston, Brendan Danes and Rachel Laston.  Great grandchildren Zach, Ryleigh, Baylee, Lexie, Aurora, Paisley, Sawyer, Ameila and sister Luverna James. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John , her son Jaime and daughter in law Emily Danes. Memorial calling hours will be from 6 PM until time of memorial service at 7 PM Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Pastor David Roberts will officiate. Private burial will take place at a later date in West Cemetery in Palmyra.
