Catherine M. "Theiss-Jones" Ford, 72 of Brimfield passed away suddenly Friday October 6, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.  She was born October 14, 1944 in Bellaire, Ohio to the late William Theiss and Betty (Feetterers) Branstein.  She has lived in Brimfield the past 50 years  after graduating from Ravenna High School in 1962.  Catherine worked for 13 years at Prestige Delivery and was also a homemaker. Snook as she was known by many was very instramental and proud of developing the first  Brimfield traveling girls softball team in 1976.  She loved to spoil her grandkids, read, on line shopping and was an avid Cleveland Sports Fan  and Ohio State fan, watching and cheering for the Browns, Indians, Cavaliers and Buckeyes. She will be dearly  missed by her high school sweetheart Gerald Ford whom she married September 1, 1962, her children Sharon (Dave) Beal of Brimfield, Vonny Friend of Ravenna, Betty (Scott) Mingus of Massillon, Teri (Toby)  Keeney of Brimfield, Gerald (Michelle) Ford, II of Brimfield, her grandchildren Dana (Rich) Tingler, Jessica Mingus, Amber Mingus, Ashley Friend, Taylar Friend, Joshua Lint, Jeremy Keeney, Gerald Ford III, Mackenzie Ford, Mason Ford, her great grandchildren Alexa, Kayleigh, Richie, Allan, Emma, Jackson, Logan, Kadyn, Aubrey and her sister Terry Betts of Brimfield.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson David Beal.  At her request cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held  2:30 Pm Saturday  October 21, 2017 at the Ravenna Masonic Temple 4785 Washington Ave. Ravenna, Ohio 44266.  Condolences and memories of Catherine may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
