David M. Dawson, 89, of Atwater passed away Thursday May 23, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was born August 20, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to the late Marshall B. and Thelma (Powell) Dawson. Mr. Dawson has lived in Atwater since 1970 and was the owner of Dawson's Twin Maple Stables and Tack Shop. He also retired in 1985 from Goodyear Tire in Akron where he worked in Accounting. Mr. Dawson was very active in 4H for over 40 years from both the local level and all the way to the State level. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving from 1951 to 1955. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Corrine Ballard. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary (Brady) Dawson whom he married October 25, 1958, his daughters, Kimberly Sue (Richard) Herman of Atwater, Cheryl Sasinouski of Florida, Kristine (Shawn) Kelly of Texas, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Monday May 27, 2019 from 5-8 PM at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel, where funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday May 28, 2019 with Rev.
