Diana Theresa (Chiappone) Garrett

Diana Theresa Garrett 84 of Ravenna died Sunday, February 11, 2018. She was born February 18,1933 in Ravenna to Antonio and Thomasina (Sgaraglino) Chiappone. Diana worked as an inspector for the GE Lamp Plant and at the Bakery for Giant Eagle. She was a baker of bread, lover of dogs, grower of flowers and giver of smiles. Survivors include her children Mike (Sandy Pierce) Hughes, Patty Ann (Sonny) Weeks and Ted Hughes, and  the father of her children Bill Hughes, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sister Thomasina (Leon) Braselle, brother Tony (Jackie) Chiappone, and her loving dog Tootsie Ann. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Nicholas Chippone and Paula LaFratta and her beloved dog Gracie Ann. Memorial calling hours will be from 5 pm until time of memorial service at 7 PM Friday, February 16, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Reverend William Snyder will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908. In honor of Diana, feel free to wear red to her funeral service.
