Donald Charles Grant

Donald Charles Grant 79 of Rootstown died Saturday, June 23, 2018. He was born September 20, 1938 in Rootstown, Ohio to Marvin and Erma (Wolf) Grant. Donald was a member of the First Congregational Church in Rootstown, Unity Lodge #12 in Ravenna, Valley of Canton 32nd Degree, Ravenna Moose #1234 and the Port Clinton Eagles #2295. He retired in 1997 from GM in Lordstown as a Coordinator and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling and spending time with his friends and family. Survivors include his children Donna (John) Shessler, Sandra (Bob) Donohue and Otto (Jackie) Grant, stepchildren Linda Dornan and Chris (Brian) Jugenhimer, 4 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and sister Geraldine Hepler. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara in May of 2018, son Scott Grant and stepson Robert Dornan. Memorial calling hours will be from 6 PM until time of memorial service at 7 PM Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Reverend William Snyder will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Southern Care Hospice of Youngstown, 5401 Ashley Circle, Austintown, Ohio 44515.
