Eileen L. Curtin, 63 of Ravenna passed away Monday December 25, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center in Akron, Ohio.  She was born October 16, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late James R. and Ruth C. (Averill) Curtin and has lived in Ravenna the past 23 years.  Eileen was a veteran of the US Army.  She is retired from GE Healthcare in Aurora and enjoyed knitting, playing board games and doing crossword puzzles.  Survivors include her sons Marc Propes, Scott Propes, Robert (Megan) Propes, her grandchildren Madison and Cullen , her brother William (Lucille) Curtin and her sister in law Joan Curtin.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Curtin and nephews Michael and Brendan Curtin.  At her request, cremation has taken place.  Memorial calling hours will be from  5:00 PM until time of memorial services  at 6:00 PM Wednesday January 3, 2018 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Rev. Bill Snyder Officiating.  Burial with military honors will be 11:00 AM Thursday January 4, 2018 at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery  Rittman, Ohio.  The family asks for memorial donations please be made to the Portage County APL  8122 Infirmary Rd.
