Elwood S. Frame, Sr.

Elwood S. Frame, Sr. 86 of Rootstown, passed away  Wednesday June 27, 2018 at Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, Ohio.  He was born April 13, 1932 in Charleston, WVA  to the late Ira and Hazel (Lee) Frame.  Mr. Frame has lived in Rootstown since 1973 and had retired from the Akron Beacon Journal in 1994.  He was an avid outdoors man enjoying hunting and fishing.  Survivors include his wife Naomi (McCallister) Frame  whom he married April 23, 1955, his children Woody (Cindy) Frame of Beallsville, Ohio, Duane (Susie) Frame of Ravenna, Linda (Terry Mushat) Frame of Brunswick, his grandchildren Steven, Timothy, Amanda, James, Matthew Frame,  Matthew Mushat, his great grandchildren Austin, Kodi Frame, Spencer and Piper Cross, and sisters Dolores Pride and Frances Matthews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Glenwood and James Frame.  Calling hours will be from 1 PM until time of funeral services  at 2 PM on Monday July 2, 2018 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Burial will follow the services at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Elwood may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
