Evelyn M. (Seidel) McGee

Evelyn M. McGee, 77, of Ravenna passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Evelyn was born in Ravenna on June 27, 1942 to the late Walter and Evelyn (Heckathorn) Seidel. Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Ravenna. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Ravenna where she was the organist and she retired from Happy Day School where she worked as a teacher's aide . She also gave swimming lessons at Happy Day and she gave piano lessons.  Evelyn is survived by her children Bryon S. McGee  of Ravenna and Denise M. McGee-Michl of Streetsboro, Grandchildren Marleana Nicole Michl and Justin Robert Michl, Great Granddaughter Kelsey Lynn Michl, sister Sandra McHenrey of PA, step-sister Louisa Dexter of NC, many cousins, and her feline companions Aries and Itsy Bitsy. She was preceded  in death by her husband Donald R. McGee, son Jason James McGee, and brother James R. Heckathorn. Honoring Evelyn's request for cremation, memorial calling hours will be Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 2:00-4:00PM with a Memorial service to follow at 4:00PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
