Glenn D Francis

Glenn D. Francis, 91 of Ravenna, passed away Tuesday December 24, 2019 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio.  He was born May 9, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to the late John and Nettie (Stalnaker) Francis.  Mr. Francis has lived in Ravenna since 1956 and was a member of the First Christian Church.  In 1990 he retired from the Ford Motor Company  in Walton Hills.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force.  His hobbies included memberships in the Rubber City Harmonica Club in Akron, the Portage Knife  Club and the Portage County Entertainers.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Francis  on June 23, 2011 and his siblings John Francis and Ruth Rogers.  He is survived by his sons, Greg (Eve) Francis of Ravenna, Dennis  (Sheila) Francis of Kent, his grandchildren Sean (Lisa) Francis, Grant (Carolyn) Francis, Brooke Francis, Mitchell Francis, Allison Francis,  his great grandchildren Sean Jr., Josh, Silas, Aiden, Noah and his siblings Norma Hampu of Alliance, Imogene Jane Francis of Alliance  and Shirley Mayfield of Columbus.  At Glenn's request, cremation has taken place.  Internment will be held 2 PM on Friday January 17, 2020 at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.  Condolences and memories may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
