Harriet Diann Lamp 73 of Rootstown, formerly of Kent, went home on Friday, February 21, 2014. She was born May 14, 1940 in New Brighton, PA to the late Thomas Edison and Harriet Pauline (Hall) Boren.  Diann worked for Parker Hannifin as a lead for 23 years until she retired.  She was also a full time homemaker, adored her family, and her beloved cat Pogo. She was also Volunteered at the People Care Pet Pantry. Survivors include  her daughters, Donna (Jim Martin) Bacon of Ravenna, Denise Morehead of Windham, sons, Lester James (Jayne) Lamp of Kent, Thomas J. (Rene) Lamp of Rootstown, sister, Myrna Crawford of  Darlington, PA, brother, Robert Boren of Cranberry, PA, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.  Besides her parents she was preceded by her husband, Lester James Lamp Sr, whom died April 1976, and son Robert Joseph Lamp.  Calling hours will be held from 11 - 1 PM Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel, followed by the service at 1:00 PM. A private family burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Memorial donation can be made to People Care Pet Pantry, 2994 Sandy Lake Road Ravenna, OH 44266.
