Isabel Moore 95 of Rootstown passed away Monday, November 18, 2019. She was born September 19, 1924 in Rootstown to Rudolph and Clara (Knapp) Biltz. Isabel was a member of St. Peter of the Fields Church in Rootstown. She was a Rosie Riveter for Goodyear Aerospace and bookkeeper for her husband's business Rootstown Welding and Fabrication, worked for the Rootstown Water Co. and Krantz Catering. Isabel was a founding member of the Rootstown Historical Society, member of the Rootstown Fire Department Auxiliary and past Red Cross Volunteer of the Year. She enjoyed travelling to all 48 continental United States, walk to Turtle Island, pick blackberries for pies, bonfires, complete 1000 piece puzzles, was the family geneologist and photographer, and chew Teaberry gum. She taught all the grand and great grand children to play cards games, pray the rosary, bake, sing at the top of your lungs, set off firecrackers, whipped cream fights and was their most avid fan at all their events. Survivors include her children David G. Moore, Sr., Judy Common, and Gregory (Brenda) Moore, grandchildren Karry (Mike) McGrath, David G. (Krissy) Moore Jr., Kelly (Mark) Wucinich, Amy (Scott) St. John, Derek (Melissa Freedson) Common and Nicole Moore, Great Grandchildren Josh and Matthew McGrath, Jacob, Greg, Abby, and Katie Moore, Mark and Gracie Wucinich, Natalie St. John, Nic and Zac Common, Colton Freedson, siblings Elizabeth "Betty" King and Shirley Riemenschneider. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Guy W. Moore, Jr., Great Grandchild Michael Jude McGrath, daughter in law Gene Moore, son in law David Common and siblings Alma Winkler, Charles Biltz, Winifred Kaltenbach, Richard Biltz and Mary Katherine Knapp. Friends may call from 1 PM until time of funeral service at 2 PM Friday, November 22, 2019 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Father David Misbrener will officiate. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
