Jennifer Anne Long, 23, of Streetsboro passed away suddenly June 1, 2018. She was born October 5, 1994 in Garfield Heights, Oh. She was a graduate of Streetsboro High School, class of 2013 and was enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at Bryant & Stratton College. Dear daughter of the late Lisa Watkins, beloved baby sister of Amanda (David) Criss and George (Samantha) Szuhay, loving auntie of Stella Szuhay, beloved niece of Theresa (Tom) Hyde, cherished granddaughter of Lenore Guzoski, grandma Shirley Ball and grandpa Bub Long, daughter of Scott Long. Beloved niece to many aunts & uncles and dear cousin to many.
Jennifer was a bright, funny, energetic, fierce and loving young woman with a bright future ahead of her. Sadly, she struggled to find a way to cope with the death of her mother when she was very young and the many other demons that haunted her beautiful soul and was sucked into a life of addiction. She battled her addictions and her demons for many years, overcoming them for periods of time, but ultimately becoming a victim to the very thing she despised the most. Jennifer did not want to be an addict, she did not want to battle the demons she did for so many years, she wanted to live a happy life, and make her family proud, but it seems that God had different plans for her. Her family finds peace in knowing that she no longer has to battle her demons and has been reunited with her mother, whom she missed so much and desperately wanted to be with. Our little ‘pumpkin head’ can now rest easy, pain and struggle free. If you or a loved one is battling addiction, please reach out to someone for help. Sobriety IS possible. www.samhsa.gov or 1-800-662-HELP
Calling hours will be from 4:00 PM until time of services at 7:00 PM on Wednesday June 6, 2018 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel.
