Joseph W. Nolon, 83, of Mantua, passed away Thursday May 2, 2019 at the Avenues of Aurora. Mr. Nolan was born May 27, 1935 in Portage Twp., PA to the late Joseph and Ethel (Zaman) Nolan. He has lived in Mantua most of his life and had retired from the Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills, where he worked as a press operator and then as a custodian. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Streetsboro American Legion. Survivors include his wife RoseAnne (Wenke) Nolan whom he married October 5, 1957, his daughter Victoria Gardner, his son Joseph L. (Laurie) Nolan, 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and his brother Dave Nolan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Judy Lucas and son Christopher J. Nolan. Calling hours will be Monday May 6, 2019 from 1 PM until military honors at 3 PM followed by the funeral services at Shorts Spicer Criislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel with Rev. Bill Snyder Officiating. Private burial will take place in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Serenity Hospice of Stow.
