Joy Ann Vilcheck, age 82, of Ravenna passed away on August 10, 2017. Joy was born on March 9, 1935 in Putney, West Virginia to the late Charles and Edith Wentz. In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her husbands Harold R. Carpenter and Gerald Vilcheck, her sister Leona Schoolcraft, and by her brother Charles “CJ” Wentz Jr. Joy is survived by her children: Janice Ann (David) Wasson of Macedonia, Joyce Ann (Duane) Ison of Roanoke, VA, Sellena Faye Gichevski of Canton, and Terry Lee (Connie) Carpenter of Cuyahoga Falls. Joy’s memory is also cherished by her brothers: Ervin, Eugene, Danny, and Jerry Wentz, her 10 grandchildren, and by her 21 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 5- 8PM at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes’ Streetsboro Chapel 9781 Page Rd. Streetsboro, OH 44241.
