June (Swales) Bogus

June Bogus, 92 of Ravenna, passed away Friday October 4, 2019 at the Woodlands Health and Rehab in Ravenna, Ohio.  She was born June 2, 1927 in Akron, Ohio to the late Robert and Gwen (Mitchell) Swales.  Mrs. Bogus had lived in Ravenna most of her life and was a faithful member to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ravenna.  She  was very proud to have worked as a secretary for  Portage County Human Services, Cleveland Worsted Mills, Highland Home Health Care and during  WW II she had worked at the Ravenna Arsenal.  She also enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, doing crossword puzzles and  being with her family and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bogus on May 8, 2004 and her granddaughter Heather Wright.  Survivors include her children Beth Pearson, Lon (Wendy) Bogus, her grandchildren   Mike, Richard, Laurie, Clair, Jon, Simon, Alexandra, Samantha, her great grandchildren Jada, Natalie, Matthew, Clarissa, Ryan, Maxamus, Grace Ann, Benjamin, Charlotte ,  her great  great grandchildren  Kaiden, Xander and long time family friend Michael McCauley.   Calling hours will be Tuesday October 8, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ravenna with Pastor Dan J. Caruso, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice and the staff at the Woodlands  for their wonderful care of June.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations please be made to the St. Paul Luther Church  170 N.
