Lawrence R. "Larry" Ferrell 77 of Ravenna passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 at the Gardens at Liberty Park in Streetsboro. He was born May 13, 1942 in Akron, OH to Raymond and Rosemary (Szabaga) Ferrell. Larry was a US Marine Corp veteran and retired after 38 years of service from Chrysler Corporation. Upon retirement Larry, and wife Nancy, enjoyed many cruises to far away places. They also enjoyed their trips to Las Vegas... taking in all the sights and sounds. Larry was an avid drag racer and could be found most weekends with his family racing his 1972 Cuda. Survivors include his children Carolyn (John) Wetshtein and Joseph (Lisa) Ferrell, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a sister Linda Summers. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy, daughter Lisa, brother Michael, and grandsons Joshua and Jason Ferrell. At his request cremation has taken place, and there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.
