Marietta V. Jobe, 89 of Randolph passed away Tuesday November 26, 2019 at her home with her loving husband and family by her side. She was born April 1, 1930 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Dominic and Carmella (Farina) Sorboro. Marietta (also known as “Dolly”) has lived in Randolph since 1988 and was formerly of Kent. She retired in 1992 from Kent State University where she last worked in food service for 20 years. “Dolly” loved to provide hospitality, conversation and fed anyone who came to visit her “on the farm”. She was an avid football fan and spent most weekends watching the football games (she was partial to the New Orleans Saints) and Hallmark movies. She attended St. Peter of the Fields Church in Rootstown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Joseph, Julia, Angelo, William, Pete and Carl. Survivors include her husband George E. Jobe whom she married September 4, 1954, her children Kathleen (Hal) Loughry of Kent, George D. (Connie) Jobe of Randolph, her grandchildren Daniel Loughry, Mark Loughry, Craig Loughry, Charlotte Wadsworth, her great grandchildren Jacob, Ellie, Taylor, Brayden, Brooklyn, Raleigh, Blake and her siblings James Sorboro, Louis Sorboro and Elizabeth James .
