Myrtle M. (Stoneking) Uher

Myrtle M. Uher beloved wife of Edward G. Uher, daughter of Bertie M. (McCandless) and Daniel O. Stoneking. Born November 23, 1932, died September 29, 2019. She graduated from Hundred High School in Hundred, West Virginia and Marymount Hospital School of Nursing in Garfield Heights, Ohio. She was employed at St. Alexis and Marymount Hospital in the Obstetrical Department and taught childbirth classes at Marymount Hospital. A member of St. Pius X Parish, Commissioned as an Extraordinary minister of the Eucharist. Assisted in the school by teaching sewing to the 7th & 8th Grade students. She was an active bowler on the St. Pius X ladies bowling team and loved swimming, fishing, gardening and attending swim competitions at their children's swim meets. She was President of the South East YWCA girls swim team and a timer for both the boy's and girl's teams. A Member of The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary # 120 in Hundred, West Virginia. Surviving are her loving husband Edward G. Uher of 65 years, son Timothy E. Uher. Two grandchildren Kyle E. Zebrowski and Kristen R. Zebrowski, son-in-law Michael W. Zebrowski and one sister-in-law, Lillian (Parks) Stoneking of Glover Gap, West Virginia. Many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her parents, Bertie M. (McCandless) and Daniel O. Stoneking, daughter Sharon A. Zebrowski, sisters and brothers: Mary Alice (James) Hinerman, Sharlette I. (Edgar) Dippel, Silas “Cy” (Mary Catherine) Stoneking, John Lee Stoneking, Harvey H. (Mae Maxine) Stoneking, Charlie Ray Stoneking (Patricia Lough and Lavenna Bar Stoneking), Ottie Margalene Wagner (Franklin Wagner).  Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM Thursday  October 3, 2019 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church Ravenna, Ohio with Father William Lraynak officiating.  Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery Rittman, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Myrtle may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
