Nicholas R. Cheselka 103 of Streetsboro, formerly of Solon, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018. He was born October 15, 1914 in Filbert, PA to Michael and Anna (Rivovich) Cheselka. Nicholas was a US Army veteran of WWII, member of St. Joan of Arc Church, a 1933 graduate of East Tech and was a foreman for Perfection Stove. Survivors include his children Charlotte Campbell, Raymond (Joann) Cheselka, David (Shirley) Dorsey and Tom (Joann) Dorsey, 22 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and siblings Theresa Cheselka and Irene Wolofz. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Florence M. (Monsour) in 2016, son Nicholas Cheselka II, grandson Robert Dorsey, son in law Hugh Campbell, 8 sisters and 6 brothers. Calling hours will be from 2 - 4 PM and 7 - 9 PM Friday, February 16, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Joan of Arc Church in Streetsboro. Burial will follow in Aurora City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to UH Hospital Hospice, 4510 Richmond Road, Warrensville Heights, Ohio 44128 or any veterans charity.
