March 3, 1932 ~ May 5, 2019 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Patricia Mahan Obituary


On,  Sunday May 5,  2019,  Patricia Mahan, loving wife and mother of three children passed away at the age of 87.  Pat was born on March 3, 1932 in Ravenna, Ohio to Olive and William James.  She graduated from Ravenna High School in 1950.  Pat worked at Woolen Mill and Parker Hannifin, retiring in 2002.  She married Hugh Mahan, and together they raised three beloved sons, Ralph and Tony D’Amico and Scott Mahan.  Pat loved to watch Ralph and Tony race thoroughbred horses, and enjoyed working alongside husband Hugh in the shedrow.  She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved many pets including her horses, dogs, cats and her Yellow Nape Amazon parrot Pedro.  Pat was preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia Farkaly, brother Bill James, son Scott Mahan, brother-in-laws Bill, Bob, Jerry and Jack Mahan, sister-in-laws Betty Conger and Judy Brunner.  She is survived by beloved husband Hugh of 58 years, sons Ralph (Christine) and Tony (Mindy), grandchildren Sean, Ryan, Anthony, Austin, Patrick, Sunshynne and Summer, great grandchildren Owen, Miles, Tatum, Luca, Sloane, Anthony, Layla and brother in laws JAmes Mahan and Joe Pat (Theresa) Mahan.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Connie, Toni and the wonderful caregivers at Crossroads.  At Pat’s request no services will be held, cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Pat, donations may be sent to Happy Trails   5623 New Milford Rd, Ravenna, OH 44266 and/or APL  8122 Infirmary Rd, Ravenna, OH 44266.  Condolences and memories of PAt may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
