Patricia "Pat" Postlethwaite, 91, of Ravenna, passed away on September 7. She was born in Belfast, Ireland on April 20, 1927 to the late Samuel and Mary (Davis) Crozier. Upon marrying the love of her life, Paul, the couple moved to London. There she served with the St. John Ambulatory Unit during the bombings of World War II. After a long nine days at Sea, traveling with her infant son, Dennis, she finally arrived in America. After living in Glendale, California, the family moved to Ohio to be close to Pat's sister Sadie. Patricia volunteered her time helping to disperse food to the less fortunate and gave time to the American Cancer Society. She also volunteered for the Center of Hope.
Pat enjoyed yard work and tending to her English garden. She could never pass a produce stand without stopping to grab a few things which she would eventually can. She entertained all with numerous stories about her youthful days In Ireland. The TV was always on the golf channel to follow Rory Mcllroy, who hailed from her hometown of Holywood Ireland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her son Dennis and sister Sarah Browning. Survivors include her children Larry, Robert and four grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.
