Philomena (Tamburrino) Shanley  89 

Philomena “Fanny” Shanley was born in Ravenna Ohio on August 30, 1928.  She passed away peacefully in her home on November 14, 2017. 

A devoted mother and homemaker, Philomena was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family.   She loved her Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers, and jotted notes of important events that took place during each game.  She also was a member of the Red Hats Society, Young At Heart, Catholic Daughters of America, The Italian American Club, and an avid attendee of the Ravenna Senior Center.

Philomena was very faithful in God. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna, Ohio her entire life.

Philomena is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, John Brian Shanley, whom she married on September 28, 1957.  She is also preceded by her 2 sisters Elisa (Tamburrino) Yates, and Nancy (Tamburrino) Carrozza.  Philomena is survived by her four children, John (Suzette) Jr., Daryl (Jill), Mary Jo (Mark), and David (Carrie).  She is also survived by six grandchildren, Gregory and Jennifer Vazquez, Sara, Erin, Taylor, and Lauren Shanley.  She was also recently blessed with her first great grandchild, Bellamie. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Friday November 17, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Church. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).  The family requests memorials be sent to Immaculate Conception Church at 409 W.
