Phyllis Ann Reed, age 65 of Rootstown, OH passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Akron General Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was the beloved wife of Lawrence Daniel Reed of 46 years.

Phyllis was born in Sutton WV on July 3, 1952.  She was born to the late Bennie & Lora Carter.  Phyllis was a homemaker and loving mother to 6 children whom later blessed her with 16 grandchildren.  She enjoyed her flowers, reading and spending time with her family and friends which she held very dear to her heart.  She was a member of the Hill Church in Brimfield, Ohio.

Besides her husband, Lawrence (Daniel), Phyllis leaves behind her 6 children; Angie (Gene) Marquez, Las Vegas NV, Christopher (Cheryl) Reed, Mogadore OH, Lisa (Bill) Decker, Rootstown OH, Jennifer (Jeff) Fahl, Kent OH, Amanda Reed (Alex Martinez) Rootstown OH and Michael Reed (Candace Donell) of Edinburg OH as well as 16 grandchildren; Cory, Steven, Morgan, Carissa, Kayla, Brandon, Alaina, Dillon, Marlie, Kendra, Kane, Peyton, Owen, Abby, Alexa and Xander. 

Calling hours will  be Tuesday August 1, 2017 from 5PM until time of funeral services at 7PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Pastor Jeremy Walden will be officiating the services.  Committal services will be 11:00 AM Thursday August 3, 2017 at the Perry James Memorial Park in Frametown, WVA with Rev.
