Raymond P. Lucas

Raymond P. Lucas (Lukaszewski), 93, of Shalersville passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at The Landing in Stow Ohio. He was born June 15, 1924 in Cleveland Ohio to the late Steve and Pauline(Tomporowska) Lucas. Mr. Lucas has lived in Shalersville for the past 56 years. He was a retired calculator repairman for Remington Rand. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps. He served in WW II as an aerial gunner on a B-24 Liberator where he flew over 50 combat missions in Europe.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Kathryn, on January 25, 2012 and siblings Frankie and Ruthie. He is survived by his sons Robert (Nancy) of Stow, Randall of Shalersville and Ronald (Vanessa) of Kent, grandchildren Andrew, Claire(Zach), Rodney(Chelsea),Ryan, Rachel and Russell, great granddaughter Riley, with Rubie arriving soon.  Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM Tuesday April 3, 2018 until time of services at 12 Noon at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.    Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery Shalersville Twp., Ohio.
