Ruth E. (Cook) Goodyear

Ruth E. Goodyear 94 of Newton Falls, formerly of Ravenna, passed away  Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren. She was born April 8, 1924 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late  Edward and Violet (McClure) Cook.  Ruth was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Newton Falls and had worked as a secretary. Survivors include her husband of 63 years Richard "Dick" Goodyear,  whom she married April 28, 1955, her daughters Collene Richard of Brimfield, Ruth Ware of Titusville, Florida, her grandsons, Patrick Paul Pullium, Michael M. Pullium, Richard Ware and five great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.  Calling hours will be Wednesday September 5, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday September 6, 2018 at the Chapel in Hillside Cemetery Randolph, Ohio where burial will follow.  Condolences and memories of Ruth may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
