Zola Jean McCoy, 87 of Mantua passed away Sunday July 8, 2018 at Aurora Manor. Zola was born June 29, 1931 in Dearth, PA and lived in Mantua since 2005. She was a homemaker and volunteered at Decision Valley School and was a 50 year member of First Baptist Church in Streetsboro where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Zola is survived by her son, Timothy A. (Lynn) McCoy of Nashville, Tennessee and her daughter Deborah L. (Terry) Brindle of Mantua, grandchildren Allyson (Boyd) Bush, Matthew (Kelly) Brindle, Andrew (Jami) McCoy, Marissa (McCoy) Rogers, Ashley (David) Light, Caleb McCoy, Benjamin McCoy, and Jacob McCoy, and great grandchildren Aidon and Austin Bish, Bradley and Arron Rogers, Gwendolyn and Hunter Brindle, and Lilli and Maxx McCoy. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Melvin Harry McCoy, parents William and Bessie (Shoenberger) Simons, brothers William and Robert Simons, and sisters Katherine (Simons) Gould, Charlotte (Simons) Lopotoski, and Stella (Simons) Wallace. Calling hours will be held at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel Wednesday July 11, 2018 from 6-8pm and Thursday July 12, 2018 from 12:00pm until time of service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday July 12, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Streetsboro.
