Jack D. Nice

Jack D. Nice 81 of Ravenna passed away Monday December 28, 2015 at Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, Ohio.  He was born February 10, 1934 in Wileyville, WVA to the late Carl and Bessie (Postlewait) Nice, Sr..  Mr. Nice has lived in Ravenna since 1953 and in 1991 he retired from Chrysler Corporation in Twinsburg after 32 years of service.  He was a member of the 1st Freedom Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Ravenna Moose lodge 1234.  Survivors include his wife of 60 years Marjorie (Hughes) nice whom he married March 5, 1955, his children Marilyn Kuhns, Karen Nice both of Ravenna, Carmella (Dave) Ward of Mantua, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandson and brothers Carl Nice, Jr of Follansbee, WVA and Bob Nice of New Martinsville, WVA.    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter  Kelly Kuhns and sister Pat Snodgrass.  Calling hours will be Sunday January 3, 2016 from 2-4 Pm and on Monday January 4, 2016 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Pastor Dan Alexoff officiating.  Burial will follow the services in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Jack may be shared with the family at  www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
