Michael L. Rice

Michael L. Rice 55 of Kent formerly of Streetsboro, passed away Wednesday  April 20, 2016 at Wade Park VA Hospital in Cleveland.   He was born December 9, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio to Harry and Maxine (Moore) Rice.  He has lived in  the Kent area for 23 years and was formerly of Streetsboro.  Mike worked  in security for several establishments and was a professional wrestler. He was a veteran of the US Navy.  He enjoyed bodybuilding, powerlifting and helping others with different types of fundraisers,  but most of all Mike loved his family.  Survivors include his parents  Harry and Maxine Rice of Streetsboro, his children Robbie Rice, Daniella Rice , Gabriella Rice all of Kent, his granddaughter Emilee,  his fiancé' Kim Kapis and her children Jasmine Colon and Jordyn Kapis, his siblings Theresa (Bill) Smith of Streetsboro, Darrell (Jacie) Rice of Texas, Greg (Linda) Rice of Brimfield, twin brother Mark Rice of California and Bob (Joey) Rice of Arizona.

Calling hours will be Sunday April 24, 2016 from  2-6 PM at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday with Pastor Bobby Shaw officiating.  Burial will  follow services in Evergreen Cemetery Streetsboro, Ohio.  Memorial donations may be made to the family care of Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes.  Condolences and memories of Mike may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
