Roland D. Walker 85 of Rootstown passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017. He was born October 15, 1932 in Elkhurst, WV to Homer and Hester (Arbogast) Walker. Roland was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a machinist for Ametek Lamb Electric. Survivors include his wife of 60 years Mary Genevieve (Vance) Walker, children Karen (Pierre) Zarzour, Kathy (David) Carron, Kevin (Tracy) Walker, Kelly (Joe) Ratliff, Kristina (Jim) Zurzolo and Keith (Heather) Walker, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and sisters Shirley Walker and June Reckel. Calling hours will be from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 12 PM Friday, October 27, 2017 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Reverend Jack Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
