Agnes M. (Miller) Hurd

Agnes M. Hurd 93 of Windham passed away Monday October 10, 2011 at the Woodlands at Robinson in Ravenna, Ohio.  She was born August 29, 1918 in Freedom, Ohio to the late Albert and Sara (Younker) Miller.  Mrs. Hurd has been a lifelong Portage County resident, retired from the Windham Post office after 30 years of service, where she worked as a clerk.  She was a member of the Windham Congregational United Church of Christ, the Helping Hands Society from the Windham CUCC, Windham Senior Citizens Group and the Garrettsville Crescent Chapter of the Eastern Star.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lee Hurd in 1981, brother Jim Miller, sisters Stella Ensinger, Ruth Sokolik and Florence Kerr.  She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.  Funeral services will be 11:00  AM Friday October 14, 2011 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Rev. Kriss Patt Officiating.  Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services on Friday.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery  Ravenna, Ohio.  Memorials may be donated to the Windham Congregational  United Church of Christ.
