Alfonse A. Pantalone

Alfonse "Al" Pantalone, the loving husband and father, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at the age of 81. Born on September 1, 1937 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, he was the youngest child and only son to Giuseppe and Benilda (DeLibero) Pantalone. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Vozar, Adele Pantalone, Luigina Bretti, Pauline Bertino, Yolanda Anderson, and Iris Brown as well as his wife of 40 years, Lois (Moore) Pantalone.  Al and Lois were married in 1960 and after serving in the U.S. Army, returned to Ravenna, Ohio to raise their family. The humble patriarch will be fondly remembered for joy-filled summer camping trips, his exquisitely made wooden works of art, and his endless love of ice cream and puppies.  He leaves behind his five children, daughter Coleen and husband Jerry, son Anthony and wife Darlena,  son Mark and wife Valerie, daughter Raelene and husband Mike, son Michael and wife Ginny, along with 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.   Calling hours will be Wednesday December 12, 2018 from 5-8 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Private family services will be held at Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Al may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.  In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make a donation “in memorial to Al Pantalone” to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org or any local animal shelter.
